The Australian City Farms &
Community Gardens Network
The Australian City Farms and Community Gardens Network is a community-based organisation
connecting city farms and community gardens around Australia.
The aims of the Network include facilitating the formation and management of community gardens, urban farms, verge and school gardens and similar social enterprise by making available information and, where possible, advice promoting the benefits of community gardening and urban agriculture on community health, urban design and ecologies, social wellbeing, diet and nutrition and convivial communities.

Volunteer & Shared farming
2 &1/2 hours SW of Brisbane is offering free
internships to citizens interested in all things permaculture.
We are currently seeking keen & committed volunteers to
do weekly shifts at the Food Is Free Laneway Ballarat.
Successful candidates will be required to have the
ability to commit to a 15 min shift once a week.
Full training session provided, then left to work solo every following week.
Shift involves general tidying up and removing spent fruit/herbs/veggies to ensure the safety of all our visitors and watering of plants during the warmer months.
Some basic gardening too if you are keen (optional).
